Little Miss Mary Mack dressed in Black with silver buttons down her back! The best and only way anyone can tell she is Mary Mack besides her Mama and sister! She looks more like Jack and the Beanstalk climbing upon her dollhouse!
Kissing baby goodnight from inside the house, the only way she prefers to play with the dollhouse!

Trick or treating,.. with the three musketeers also known as Miss Mary Mack, Woody and the fairy!
Happy Halloween a tad bit late!

My feet relaxing in the hot bath after getting the girls to sleep! A quick reminder of who I am was brought back to me after reading this book to Ella... The Three Questions by: Jon J Muth as it's nice to remember that there are good and bad days and not accomplishing anything is sometimes accomplishing a lot! I have been trying to DISCIPLINE Ella this week. It's such a big scary word that means so many different things to many different people, defining your parenting style. After a visit to the pediatrician and being reminded that the dreaded DISCIPLINE is a good thing and that parents who don't use it are lazy, I came home in full swing time out mode. After a long bath, and reminding myself that life should be simple I have taken off my armor of being time-out mama. As I have noticed little Miss Ella definitely knows what bothers me, aaah yes, I have figured out as well what bothers her: time outs! It's nice to feel refreshed after a period of hard lesson learning not only for them but, myself as well. Ofcourse, we will still have time outs for valid reasons.. pushing your little sister down! Other than that, the sadness of not having pockets on your coat when it seems as if everyone else has pockets.. is not a valid reason, yet a reason to have a big hug run home to sew pockets on.. and wear that Katie kangaroo pocket coat all the time! A Simple and Slow walk into winter time is what we will be focusing on for now.

after being half an hour late to our pediatrician this morning... we took a nature walk at a nearby park
to await our new appt (we had an hour to roam free)
How many ways can you decorate a pumpkin? 1. draw on it with permanent marker because your mama said who cares? 2. carve it into a silly robot looking creature as mama was really tired when she carved it! 3. paint it reddish orange with the leftover paint from the pumpkin stamping card project (next photo!).
Our pumpkin halloween cards for friends drying in the kitchen, as mama gets to have somef fun decorating too!
Sammy came over to play and the girls ended up in bed with him! Just too cute!
Kaia really has a thing for him (ssssh)
Sideways! Until I take a blogging computer class (very soon I hope)... the girls in Mama's bed cozying up after Sam went home! aaah, it's crisp and chilly here, and great weather for cozying up under the covers!

A delicious and healthy sunday treat. Blueberry smoothies...
and purple clothing, Ella pointed this out to us herself.. as she drank down the last sips!
An 'almost' gluten free dinner... after checking out one of my favorite blogs..
Gluten Free Girl, did I realize that her book is finally out! I can't wait to get my hands on it as I have been wondering for some time if I have Celiac disease or maybe my body just doesn't love gluten. Who know's but, I sure feel healthy eating gluten free! After a trip to the cheaper organic-esque grocery store nearby I came home and filled the fridge with all kinds of delish vegitables even orange beets! So, our camera is on it's way to a better place and the colors didn't show up but, this was by far the most colorful veggie stir fry I have ever made! Ella adores spraying on the Bragg's liquid amino's! That chicken looks pretty yuck, huh? But, after I cooked it with tamari soy sauce and sesame seed oil it was wonderful! The pot on the right is chicken noodle soup-just in case the gals weren't fond of my veggie craving!
The end result. Happy full tummies!

After a Mama and Daddy 'exchange' last night (we rarely get a sitter ... so, Mama went out first then came home and Daddy went out next) it works!! We both get to have some special adult time and feel tired enough to let the girls have organic chocolate-chocolate chip ice cream from our new favorite brand ALDEN'S! I needed a quick fix for Mama exhaustion the other night so, I ran to the store and filled the cart with: this new ice cream, a green and blacks chocolate bar (my ultimate treat), and red bridge gluten free beer! The girls have since discovered the addition to our freezer and it won't last long! Yup. That's whip cream because life is just better when you keep it handy always fresh in your fridge! Under the bowl notice the lovely table drawing? Ella and Kaia have learned that since Mama always cleans it up they need to redecorate every time the crayons come out!
Land Swimming: one of our new favorite "pretend" activities!
Kaia's not sure she likes this new fall weather! Just kidding she was saying: weeeee and holding on tight to her car blankie which hiding underneath is Ella's prized "jenna" baby doll! Ha, sisters!
Negotiations!
Something we have learned over and over again with 2
girls! The negotiation process is never ending and having two of
everything doesn't always solve the problem! Ella just learned to fully
ride I mean RIDE her bike! She floors the pedals and takes off so fast
that dust blows up in my face! kaia.. has the urge to ride too but,
doesn't have a bike yet! kaia was holding baby Jenna who belongs to
both girls but, Ella named her and Ella decided she wanted the baby
jenna and the bike! yup. So, we negotiated and negotiated until Ella
took jenna on a thrill ride all the way around the park and yup, it's
the park with a pretty big nature path.. luckily Kaia got both parents playing and kissing her until Ella came back around the path saying "what doin".

The view from my favorite place to relax lately: in the grass. Looking at this picture the other night.. I noticed how I have been loving the 'maternity-esque' clothing that is the look right now, as it also hides my baby belly fat! Then today while at the park with the girls I set upon it to get back into shape and made it to kickboxing tonight! hurray for getting my heart rate going, and working on this pressing belly issue! Maybe less head shots and more full body shots to come! Is Kaia pooping or just swiping the grass off her hands~we'll never know will we! She sure is my little munchkin who is growing WAY too fast!

A warm fall walk in the woods,.. Ella riding her bike almost completely by herself (except for when there are BIG trees down on the path ahead of us!).
Kaia eating Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins... we made the day before.. and luckily brought to enjoy outside! Yum! The cute overalls Mor-Mor made from scratch for her and they are just too cute,.. and cozy!
One Happy Mama resting on a new cozy fleece blanket from our last Ikea trip. Watching the girls gather grass and leaves and making a nest near my head! Loving motherhood!
Kaia laying in the grass admiring her hands, maybe?
Our magic acorn! ( the only whole one mama could find in the woods,... all the rest were already devoured!) It was magically thrown into the woods, seconds later. Love those little dirty fingers~notice the bluish tint on Ella's left hand, who knows where that came from. Welcome fall were here waiting for your magic!
